6036 was new to the MPTE in 1980, and was one of the first batch of just seven Leyland National 2s, numbered 6035-6041.

These were delivered without the usual "pod" on the roof.

6036 is now preserved by a member of the Merseyside Transport Trust. Full details of the history of this bus will be added to this page in the near future.......
